MOTION CM Watson to allow an exception to the established Cheverly street paving policy to allow WSSC to install the necessary facilities to accommodate the needs of 5615 Greenleaf Road and to have staff contact WSSC granting permission and this position is being taken due to the hardship to the resident and because WSSC changed their position on the need for access for a pipe under the newly paved street.  Approved 4-0. CMs Ford and Oladele absent.

MOTION CM Schachter that the Mayor and Council authorize the Chief of Police to apply for a grant for the purchase, installation, maintenance and operation of recorded video monitoring cameras to be mounted in locations that will maximize the potential for deterring and investigating crime.  Any other use of the cameras or information provided by the cameras will be subject to guidelines to be developed by the Mayor and Council.  Seconded CM Watson.  Approved 5-1.  CM Oslik opposed.

MOTION CM Watson to send a letter to the MNCPPC to request a visit and evaluation for the potential citing of a dog park in Euclid Park.  Seconded CM Ford. Approved 6-0.

MOTION CM Hofmann to close the meeting to obtain advice of counsel.  Seconded CM Ford.  Approved 5-0.  CM Watson absent.
